The Brat phenomenon's extended half-life was partly due to its ability to reinvent itself with Brat and It's the Same but There's Three More Songs So It's Not and the new remix album of Brat and It's Completely Different but Also Still Brat. These tactics are nothing novel, employed to appear as natural as possible to those still clinging to Brat Summer (much to the delight of label executives).
Now with a dozen-plus collaborators, the brat remix album gives reason to check back in on some of those club classics, once and for all. Some tracks contain a genuine introspection, which is often missing in remix albums. Others make you glad to have left the club early.
